7 – River Falls, Wisconsin – International Migratory Bird Day Festival – St. Croix Valley Bird Club invites you to celebrate “International Migratory Bird Day” at River Falls City Hall. Celebrate the migratory birds as they make their annual spring journey from north Latin America and southern North America. Rain or shine, bird enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy hands-on educational activities including arts and crafts, bird identification, conservation tips, citizen science and live birds. Weather permitting, there will be bird banding and guided birding walks along the nearby White Pathway on the Kinnickinnic River. Bring your binoculars to this free event. July 23 – River Falls, Wisconsin – Riders for Children’s Smiles – Motorcycle enthusiasts cruise through scenic St. Croix and Pierce Counties. Riders depart from Gilby’s Street Dept. and return to an outdoor barbeque and live music. All proceeds benefit Our Neighbor’s Place Homeless Shelter to provide educational trips, tutoring and activities for young adults from families facing hardships. 24 – River Falls, Wisconsin – 2016 Cross Country Mountain Bike Race – Kinnickinnic Off-Road Cyclists (KORC) is proud to present the fourth Border Crossing. The Whitetail Ridge course will again challenge every type of rider with a great mix of fast-flowing single track, roots and rocks, fast downhill sections, wide open fields, leg-torching climbs and River Falls’ signature wooden berm. 9 – 10 – River Falls, Wisconsin – 2016 Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo – Experience the biggest and best college rodeo in the upper Midwest!  The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) invites you to an amazing Wild West adventure at the University of Wisconsin River Falls.  Approximately 350 cowboys and cowgirls compete in stock events including bull riding, saddle bronc riding bareback riding and more!  Details at www.uwrf.edu.   

10 – River Falls, Wisconsin – Art on the Kinni - Head to River Falls for the region's most scenic art fair along the Kinnickinnic River.  This event showcases unique, handcrafted items from some 60 local and regional artists, day-long music on two stages, a wide variety of food vendors, and art activities tent.  Details at www.riverfallscab.org.

10 – River Falls, Wisconsin – Kinni River Trout Trot – Runners experience scenic roads and trails during the annual Kinni River Trout Trot.  This event includes a ½ marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1K (for children 11 and younger).  The post-race finish includes healthy refreshments, a variety of awards and family-friendly entertainment.  The “Trot” is a fundraiser for Our Neighbor’s Place Homeless Shelter.  Details at
